[packman] Any plans to use MirrorBrain?

Hi,

The current Packman mirror management has its problems:
- Most people will add Packman through
http://opensuse-community.org/openSUSE_112_Community_Additional.xml.
And it links to a single mirror that will need to handle a lot of
request more than the others.
- Others will use the .repo file
(ftp://packman.links2linux.org/pub/packman/suse/11.2/Packman.repo).
That once again links to a single mirror... right now to
http://packman.mirrors.skynet.be/pub/packman/, that is badly outdated
- Webpin has the same problem: it links to a single mirror.
- The mirror list (http://packman.links2linux.de/MIRRORS.html) needs
to be updated manually... and right now isn't: It also includes
http://packman.mirrors.skynet.be/pub/packman/

Funny enough there seems to be some kind of redirector in the web
page, just that it isn't being used in any way that ZYpp can use.

Why isn't MirrorBrain or the redirector from
http://packman.links2linux.org/ being used for repos? Are you working
into it or it's just that you don't have any server able to handle all
the request?

>From outside, seeing problems with some mirrors in the last months,
and things as http://lists.links2linux.de/pipermail/packman/2010-May/008390.html
(that from outside one would say it still hasn't been fixed), one
starts to worry about the mirror healthy of Packman.

Thanks.
