Any issue with upstream vlc.git#master should be reported directly on the upstream vlc devel mailing list.

The vlc-beta package was created a couple of years ago to track the upcoming vlc 3 release.
Today it is just a fun project which tracks vlc.git#master, which may become a vlc 4.0 release at some point.
