Could you please pursue this?

The only thing I can say for now is that it apparently only affects one system 
here which has SSE3 support (Malte has this as well obviously from his 
backtrace).

My other systems, where I cannot reproduce the crash, don't have SSE3 support, 
but are 64bit systems as well.
