[packman] gmplayer on openSUSE 12.1 crash

As an addendum, I just completed a fresh install of openSuse 11.4_x86 and KDE 
3.5.  Gmplayer works perfectly in that install.  So it seems that it has 
something to do with 12.1 but, then again, my original 12.1 installs worked 
perfectly for gmplayer until just a few weeks ago.

I also see that googling on the subject reveals a few other distro users are 
having a similar error/problem with gmplayer.
