[packman] vlc mplayer library requirement inconsistency

My system is SuSe 10.1 AMD X86_64


When I try to install vlc it requires x264 version 47, which then disables  
Mplayer, dvbcut, transcode, etc, as they use x264 v46.

So far I have decided not to use VLC, but would have liked the choice -  
have you come across this b4?
