Well, since you are the user with the problem, it is more appropriate
for you to open the bug. And yes, you have to create a kde bugzilla account.
In the mean time you can use kde/X to overcome your issue.
It would be good, when you open the bug, to mention that gnome/wayland
works but kde/wayland does not (but you should test the gnome/wayland case yourself).
