Hi,
trying to install gmplayer and vlc on tumbleweed 20230129 isn't possible due
to dependency issues:
mio:~ # tumbleweed status
latest : 20230129
target : 20230129
installed: 20230129
mio:~ # zypper in vlc-noX gmplayer

the to be installed vlc-noX-3.0.18-7.6.x86_64
Problem: nothing provides 'libBasicUsageEnvironment.so.1()(64bit)' needed by
the to be installed MPlayer-1.2.r38304-2.66.x86_64
Problem: nothing provides 'libBasicUsageEnvironment.so.1()(64bit)' needed by
the to be installed vlc-noX-3.0.18-7.6.x86_64
Solution 1: do not install vlc-noX-3.0.18-7.6.x86_64
Solution 2: break vlc-noX-3.0.18-7.6.x86_64 by ignoring some of its
dependencies
TW20230129 has newer versions of libBasicUsageEnvironment:
mio:~ # zypper se -s UsageEnvironment

I guess vlc and mplayer need to be rebuilt?
Cheers
