I am reporting a bug with this package, because it can't write 
subtittles in srt / sep format to a video. I don't know where else to 
report it. Make dummy subtitles using subtitle editor, a program for Gnu 
/ Linux based systems and use handbrake to add a video and then add the 
subtitles by using import srt. Handbrake in your version starts but does 
not execute and falsely calls the job done.
