[packman] Kodi hangs the system

Hi, 

I am running Kodi Jarvis on OpenSUSE Leap 42.1. I have installed Kodi
from the Packman repository. When using Kodi, browsing through the menu
or settings, Kodi will quit often freeze up. And not just Kodi, but the
whole system, making it impossible to collect any events in log files. I
have tried running Kodi in debug mode, but no errors are written when it
freezes. 

At the Kodi forums they are referring to whoever build the SUSE
packages. I have found more 42.1 users with crashing or freezing Kodi
installations on other sites, but they never got any useful reply. 

If I use the system without Kodi, everything runs fine. After hours of
usage it never froze up or showed any instability. 

Situations where Kodi freezed the system: 

- In Videos, adding a folder with videos. The moment I clicked ADD.
- In Videos, adding a folder with videos. The moment I clicked the
folder.
- During settings/setting up.
- Today for the first time during playback of a movie.
- Just when it sat there, doing nothing
- During Addon selection, clicking an addon. 

The moments are completely random, yesterday it froze 4 times before I
was able to start up a movie. 

How can I collect information for you or what can I send you? 

The system is running OpenSUSE 42.1, fully updated.
