[packman] convert Video DVD to file

What tool can be used to convert a video DVD with all its features
(chapters and the like) into a file, so that kodi handles it as if the
DVD would be in the physical drive?

I have a Shuttle without DVD drive, which is connected to TV. There are
likely ways to extract the video stream itself and turn it into a single
file. I guess that would lose all the gimmicks, have not tried it yet.
