For Opensuse 13.1 x86_64 , 
kde 4.14.10 updated from kde sc current and extra

Dolphin does not display duration of movie : the colon «duration» is empty

In the data panel there is no duration property to select

Opensuse team suggests to ma to ask for you to compile népomuk (baloo ?) 
against ffmpeg .
