But I heard there might be a problem with the location of the MySQL
socket, that has changed on 11.2.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to install 11.2 anywhere yet.

Could you please let me know where the mysql.sock is on 11.2 ?
That way I can patch our kde3-amarok package.
