[packman] libusb - openSUSE 11.1

Dear Pascal

Apologies for contacting you directly. I know libusb is not your project but I and many others have problem with libusb in openSUSE 11.1 and the developers/packages responsible do not seem to be reading the forums...

The fact is that many device drivers work perfectly with openSUSE 10.2, 10.3 and 11.0 but not openSUSE 11.1. The drivers are not broken - simply libusb is not found although installed-

With openSUSE 10.2, 10.3 and 11.0 <whereis libusb> returns /usr/lib etc..

Whereas with openSUSE 11.1 <whereis libusb> returns nothing, although the libusb packages are installed. (This applies to both i386 and x86_64 installations.)

As a novice it seems to me that the links to the library files are missing. Can you wake-up the developer/packager responsible?
