Myself and another user on openSUSE forums have been experiencing a
problem with kdenlive on openSUSE-11.0 and 10.3 (it was just brought to
my attention today).   I was successfully using kdenlive in Aug/Sep, so
I suspected a recent update of a kdenlive dependency.

I was able to reproduce this users problem (in fact I can't avoid the
problem without downgrading the dependencies of kdenlive) on both
openSUSE-11.0 and 10.3.

My openSUSE-10.3 had a kdenlive dependency configuration of:
