Dear packman users!

We had much trouble with our wiki being spammed a lot
recently.

Because of this and because it had to be upgraded and moved to
another host anyway I decided to do a fresh install on the new host
and then migrate the wiki pages.

Installation has been finished last night and pages have been
successfully migrated with history of each page preserved.

But because of a another database being used now (PostgreSQL instead
of MySQL) and because of the big software update it is not so easy
to migrate the registered wiki Users as the user-table has changed a
lot.

And as most of the users being spam bots anyway, I think its the best if
anybody who wants to contribute to the wiki will re-create his
account. This is done really fast and should be no problem (Takes
nearly the same amount of time as logging in :-))

And as there were no user pages no data is lost this way. The only
thing is that you must recreate your watchlist if you had one.

To make it short: Please do not wonder why your password does not
work anymore, you have to register again!

So I say sorry for any inconvenience, and lets hope those spam bots
will keep outside now...

Liebe packman Benutzer!

Wir hatten in letzer Zeit ein paar Probleme mit Spam in unserem
wiki.

Deswegen und weil das wiki sowieso aktualisiert und auf ein anderes
System umgezogen werden musste, habe ich mich dazu entschieden, es
auf dem neuen System komplett neu aufzusetzen und die wiki-Seiten
dorthin zu migrieren.

Die Installation wurde letzte Nacht abgeschlossen und alles Seiten
wurden komplett mit Historie übernommen.

Weil aber nun auch ein neues Datenbanksystem eingesetzt wird
(PostgreSQL statt MySQL) und weil der Versionssprung beim
Softwareupgrade recht gross war, war es leider nicht so einfach
möglich auch die Benutzeraccounts zu übernehmen, weil die
Benutzertabelle sich so sehr verändert hat.

Und da die meisten Accounts eh Spam-Bots waren ist es wohl das
einfachste, wenn jeder der zum wiki etwas beisteuern möchte, sich
seinen Account schnell neu anlegt. Das geht wirklich schnell und
kostet kaum mehr Zeit, als sich einzuloggen.

Und da auch keine privaten Benutzerseiten existieren, gehen auch
keine Daten verloren. Das einzige ist, dass du evtl deine
"watchlist" neu erstellen musst.

Um es kurz zumachen: Bitte wundert euch nicht, wenn das Passwort
nicht mehr funktioniert, du musst dich kurz neu registrieren!

Trotzdem nochmal sorry dafür. Hoffen wir, dass diese Spam-Bots
zukünftig draussen bleiben.
