as you sad the problem is due to that update!

check that:

also vlc and maybe other programs hav the same problem.

the solution is to downgrade package xorg-x11-server-7.2-143.9 to 
xorg-x11-server-7.2-143.6

with yast to that:

select previous version, accept to remove xorg-x11-server than ignore 
the missing of that dependencie!
