I've just had exactly the same problem. I rebuilt ffmpeg from the latest svn 
source (instructions on the ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu website) and the problem was 
resolved. It seems that the latest packman ffmpeg package may have been built 
against a previous version of libschroedinger. This should probably be 
referred to the maintainer of the ffmpeg package on packman.
