Yes, sane-backends-1.0.19-0.pm.2.i586.rpm is our/my package. But I need
more infos. What exactly doesn't work?
Can't you setup the scanner in YaST?
Can't you find the scanner using sane-find-scanner?
Can't you find the scanner in xsane?
Are there any settings missing in xsane?

Sometimes there are problems when updating from a old sane version, so
it's better to remove sane (rpm -e --nodeps sane-backends) install it
new and setup the scanner new. "Peter J. P-N" wrote, the scanner works
fine with sane-backends-1.0.19-0.pm.2, so I don't think it's realy a
problem with the package, but if it is, I need infos to find it.
