Thanks! I have done that, and I still cannot get Banshee+mp3 file to work.

When launching Banshee from a command line, I get this:

(Banshee:17739): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_parse_bin_from_description:
assertion `bin_description != NULL' failed

(Banshee:17739): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_parse_bin_from_description:
assertion `bin_description != NULL' failed

(Banshee:17739): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_parse_bin_from_description:
assertion `bin_description != NULL' failed

(Banshee:17739): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_parse_bin_from_description:
assertion `bin_description != NULL' failed

Any ideas now? I think I'm really near now.
