Hi all
I've just trialled the new miro package and it appears to have a few
problems.
Firstly, it requires python-gnome or else fails: ImportError: No module named
gconf
Once I had that installed, I ran into a further problem - miro wouldn't
pick up libgtkembedmoz.so until I had added /usr/lib/seamonkey into
/etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig:
craig at fool:~> miro
/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.1.4
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/miro.real", line 123, in <module>
startapp()
File "/usr/bin/miro.real", line 58, in startapp
import singleclick
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/miro/singleclick.py", line 36, in <module>
import app
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/miro/app.py", line 610, in <module>
import frontend
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/miro/frontend.py", line 50, in <module>
import MozillaBrowser
ImportError: libgtkembedmoz.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Finally, once that had been resolved, I run into this error:
craig at fool:~> miro
/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.1.4
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/miro.real", line 123, in <module>

File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/miro/frontend_implementation/HTMLDisplay.py", line 23, in <module>
import gtkmozembed
ImportError: No module named gtkmozembed
So far I have been unable to resolve this. :( This is a standard 32 bit install,
the link to the info4packman script is dead, so I can't give further details
until I know what might be needed. Also, is this the correct place to report
such matters- I couldn't find a bug report facility.
Craig
