hm, the spec-file defines all necessary devel-files...

for 32bit:
Requires: alsa audiofile flac jack >= 0.101 ladspa libtar >= 1.2.11 raptor
zlib /bin/sh /usr/bin/env libFLAC++.so.5 libFLAC.so.7 libICE.so.6
libQtCore.so.4 libQtGui.so.4 libQtNetwork.so.4 libQtXml.so.4 libSM.so.6
libX11.so.6 libXcursor.so.1 libXext.so.6 libXfixes.so.3 libXi.so.6
libXinerama.so.1 libXrandr.so.2 libXrender.so.1 libasound.so.2 libasound.so.2
(ALSA_0.9) libasound.so.2(ALSA_0.9.0rc4) libc.so.6 libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.0)
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.1) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) libc.so.6
(GLIBC_2.2.3) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.4) libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.4) libdl.so.2
libfontconfig.so.1 libfreetype.so.6 libgcc_s.so.1 libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.0)
libjack.so.0 liblrdf.so.2 libm.so.6 libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.0) libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.1)
libpng12.so.0 libpthread.so.0 libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.0) libpthread.so.0
(GLIBC_2.1) libsndfile.so.1 libsndfile.so.1(libsndfile.so.1.0) libstdc++.so.6
libstdc++.so.6(CXXABI_1.3) libstdc++.so.6(CXXABI_1.3.1) libstdc++.so.6
(GLIBCXX_3.4) libz.so.1

so hydrogen is linked against: FLAC, jack, libsndfile, alsa,...

As I don't have a 64bit machine, I can't provide the same info for 64bit.
Perhaps Detlef can deliver this information. Or do a simple
ldd /usr/bin/hydrogen to see the needed libraries.

How did you install hydrogen? Simply as a package or with one of the
SuSE-installers (YaST, yum, apt, smart, zen ...)
Are all packages you need installed in the correct versions ?

And as this package was published in early January 2007, and now other people
had some problems with those packages, I think your setup is missing
