To allow the installation of both, 0.14 and 0.12 versions, at the same
time? Would be a solution for manual and Smart installations, but up
to where I know YaST doesn't allows two versions of the same package
to be installed at the same time. With a name change for the packages?
If so, would be a problem because of the different names between
Packman and Build Service packages?
I am not an expert on this, but the exiv2 release announce says "Exiv2
now uses libtool's -version-info library versioning system, which will
allow future releases to indicate their compatibility with previous
releases". This means that from now they will stop changing the soname
with every release? The actual problem is because of this soname
change madness, if they stop it I don't see a big problem mantaining
the actual full single package.
