ok, there is a new reply on my post to the sourceforge xvidcap forum.

Now it works. But a packamn package for the rest of the world would be nice

BTW: As you recommend I had also sent this to

for bothering you both, especially now, when I realized that they better
ways to screencast than xvidcap. The patched ffmpeg is 1000x better -
