Is there a way to inject sources into the kodi package, so that it can
build static copies of the new requirements?

nlohmann_json is now packaged in Multimedia.

The la_int64_t types you mentioned earlier, can they be defined via 
CFLAGS like -Dla_int64_t=long -Dla_ssize_t=ssize_t?
