OpenSUSE's kdenlive package in 42.1 is not crippled.
And the mlt package in 42.1 is not crippled either.

You only need to replace ffmpeg with an uncrippled version (from Packman).

That's about missing movit support IIUIC?
No idea whether the Packman package currently has movit support or not, and if
not why.
Somebody else would have to answer that.

I don't even know what movit is... ;-)

This bug report is about upgrading mlt to 6.2.0, which is not necessary at all
for the kdenlive 15.12.3 that's included in 42.1 (nor 16.04, it is needed for
building 16.08 though).

And Packman does provide libmlt 6.2.0, also for 42.1, as I already wrote in
that bug report.
See http://packman.links2linux.de/package/libmlt .

Kind Regards,
Wolfgang
