[packman] Packman status

Dear packman folks!

I'm (and other users on #opensuse-de) wondering what the current state
of packman is.
The project looks quite abandoned. :-(

Iff you no longer have the time and/or the motivation to run the project
we could do a plan b.
Like moving every (legal) package to the OBS and keep only a very small subset
of the current packages in packman.
This (very small) subset could be maintained by a selected group of
capable users.
What do you think?

I'd like to avoid that packman dies silent and inglorious death.
