Cinelerra, the most professional NLE video editor, compositor and effect
processor on Linux, does still not run on openSUSE 10.3. I've tried all
packaged versions from Packman, on i386 openSUSE on old hardware and on
x86_64
openSUSE on new hardware. The current fresh version from Packman is
cinelerra-2.1.cv1055-0.pm.2.

What happends is that after loading Cinelerra, the main windows and
menus are
dead or frozen. That is, the menus cannot be opened and used, and the
windows
cannot be closed graphically (X). The program has to be quitted from the
terminal. The only exception is the tip of the day widget that works.

Some users think this may be related to the xorg-x11 version used on
openSUSE
10.3, currently xorg-x11-7.2-135.4.

The same Cinelerra packaged versions have worked ok the whole time on the
previous openSUSE 10.2 i386 with xorg-x11-7.2-28.
