No conflict here. Everything works well.

The new k3b packaging has been made explicitely for this case. K3b from 
KDE:Backports and the codecs from Packman should coexist. The k3b-1.0-10.1 on 
Packman is provided for non-KDE:Backport users, but everyone can use k3b form 
KDE:Backports without problems. That the packages differ in the release 
number shouldn't be a problem.

There is no need for a new k3b-codecs package, as long as the k3b codecs 
interface is kept binary compatible and there are no important bug fixes in 
the codecs.

You should have a look, if there is some older package still installed, 
k3b-1.0-100.pm.0 (already remove from Packman) or k3b-mad (This one should be 
removed, too). Maybe that's where your conflicts come from.
